La fattoria in città

On Sunday, 23 November, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Piazza Cavour will turn into an open-air rural space to host the 2025 edition of “La Fattoria in città”, the event promoted by the Municipality of La Spezia in collaboration with local trade associations. The 2025 edition was presented by the Mayor of La Spezia, Pierluigi Peracchini, and the Councillor for Trade and Productive Activities, Alberto Giarelli.

Mayor Pierluigi Peracchini stated:
“This event is an important opportunity to explore and experience the world of nature, traditions and outdoor life, thanks to the participation and cooperation of many local organisations. It allows children and families to rediscover the customs and richness our land has to offer. It also invites us to reflect on how happiness and wonder can arise from simple things, from genuine products and from the natural beauty that surrounds us. For an entire day, Piazza Cavour will become a place of unique experiences: I sincerely thank all the associations that chose to participate and make this major event dedicated to the agricultural world possible.”

Founded in 2006, the initiative has become an eagerly awaited event for families, schools and citizens. Its goal is to bring the agricultural world closer to the urban environment, promoting biodiversity, conscious consumption and environmental respect.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to explore a market exhibition featuring local producers, enjoy food and wine specialities, and attend themed presentations dedicated to traditional flavours.
