Mirabello Port

Porto Mirabello is right in the heart of the Gulf of La Spezia, holding one of the most protected positions of Europe.

Porto Mirabello was opened in September 2010. Let’s have a look at its past: the reclamation works for this area started in September 2007 and the construction of the docks began in October 2008. The first harbor was assigned in June 2009, whereas the final land facilities were completed in 2010. 

This Port is a unique example in Italy of a yacht basin within a city and extending entirely on the sea: an artificial peninsula covering 40,000 square meters and a body of water covering another 270,000 square meters, keeping the coast intact and enhancing the nautical focus of the place where it is located.
