Exhibition Federigo Salvadori - Covid 100 La Spezia - Photographs April-May 2020

On October 31 at 5:00 PM, the CAMeC Center for Modern and Contemporary Art inaugurates a photographic exploration, setting up an exhibition project in the auditorium, dedicated to a documentary work of significant historical importance. It is the documentary work that the photographer Federigo Salvadori produced during the 2020 lockdown, in the months of April and May when the city of La Spezia, like other urban centers in Italy and elsewhere, faced the advance of the pandemic through isolation and confinement of people. With the approval of the authorities, Salvadori explored La Spezia during this dramatic historical moment, capturing and preserving it for future memory solely through his camera and perceptual sensitivity.

The exhibition will be open until January 14, 2024, and will be accompanied by a catalog containing the photographs presented at CAMeC, approximately fifty selected from the over 1,500 captured by Salvadori.

Opening to the public: November 1, 2023 – January 14, 2024

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Closed on Mondays, Christmas, and New Year's Day
