Tuscan - Emilian Apennine National Park

The Gulf of La Spezia is not simply a tourist destination, fascinating visitors with its treasures overlooking the sea or attracting those who enjoy hills and mountains, or walking surrounded by nature. The Montemarcello-Magra Regional Natural Park, the Apennine National Park, the “Cento Laghi” Park of Parma, the Frignano Park of Modena, and the Apuan Alps Regional Parks can be easily reached from La Spezia.

The Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park, formally established in 2001, features low mountains, making it the ideal place to spend a peaceful day outdoors. The Park has roads and trails running between the low Apennine mountains and woods. During the clearest days, if you look north, you will see the peaks of the Alps, and if you look south, you will see the Mediterranean Sea.

The different atmospheres of this Park perfectly fit together and generate an amazing picture where natural and mad-made environments coexist. This Park is close to many major cities and for this reason it is a destination accessible by everyone: its authentic and wild nature will surprise you. During you stay here, you will have the chance to taste some incredible local dishes – an additional reason to visit our territory.
