From Portovenere with Alta Via of 5 Terre

The route connecting Portovenere to Passo del Bosco is part of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (literally, High Route of the Ligurian Mountains) and in this part, where the Apennine ridge meets the Cinque Terre, is known as Sentiero dei Poeti (Route of the Poets). This trail crosses three parks: the Montemarcello-Magra National Park, the Cinque Terre National Park, and the Portovenere Natural Park.

From this panoramic route, you will see the whole territory up to the sea. Among the most spectacular viewpoints, it is impossible not to mention the ridges of Monte Alpe, Monte Zenone, Monte Porcile and Monte Verruga. This trail winds through diverse landscapes and beautiful forests of chestnut trees, oak trees, and maritime pines.
