Theatre season

Each year, the main theater of La Spezia, the Teatro Civico (Civic Theater), offers a rich program, bringing together the drama theater tradition and the musical performances of great Italian and international personalities, and creating shows for adults and children.

Among the many events, the 2022 season will bring on stage the excellent French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard who will perform a vast piano repertoire, the young Italian pianist Matteo Bevilacqua who will put together his piano talent and his passion for theater, the great Italian singer Claudio Baglioni with his show called “dodici note solo” (literally , “Only twelve notes”), and the Italian comic Pintus, with his show called “Non è come sembra” (literally, “It is not what it looks like”).

For those of you who enjoy drama, the theater program includes personalities such as the Italian singer and TV personality Elio, in his show called “Ci vuole orecchio” (literally, “It takes ear”), accompanied by five musicians in tribute to the Italian singer-songwriter Enzo Jannacci, and the Italian actors Fausto Paravidiano and Rocco Papaleo with their show called “Peachum: un’opera da tre soldi” (literally, “Peachum: a cheap work”), a modern reinterpretation of the antagonist from Brecht’s work.
