Campodonico Palace

This massive building is on Via Cappellini and was commissioned to Vincenzo Bacigalupo by a rich portoro marble quarry owner and trader. Peculiar aspects are the feminine heads placed in the upper part of the building and the wrought iron gate of the villa made by the Guidotti firm on a project by Bacigalupi, resembling the shape of a musical score. Some of the balconies still have the original railings with their signature sinuous and enveloping lines, whereas in the entrance, there are some original pictorial decorations.
