Beghi Library
Placed in the city neighborhood of Canaletto, the Biblioteca Beghi is the result of an urban redevelopment of a large shed previously used to keep old buses and trolleybus, save them from demolishing, and to show the public the history of road transportation.
The new library is spread over three floors and hosts different areas dedicated to reading or equipped with computers and tables to study.
The ground floor hosts the Sala Ragazzi (literally, the Teens Room), dedicated to children or teenagers, the second floor hosts the actual library, and the third floor hosts the book consultation room and the seat of the historic archive.
The book consultation service is open to everyone and there is no need for a previous registration.
Borrowing books is open to the citizens of the La Spezia territory and of the places nearby.
